Message from the President - Bruce Druxerman
While DRUXY'S follows the format of a fast food restaurant, we pride ourselves on offering our customers quality, fresh and healthy food delivered with warm, personal service. We believe that a restaurant’s form does not restrict the quality of food offered and the care taken to serve customers. For 33 years we have prepared every sandwich directly in front of each customer to his or her exact specifications. Likely no two of the millions of sandwiches served have been exactly the same. We are proud of the quality of our ingredients and we put them on display for our customers to see so that they are able to choose exactly what they want included in their meal. From Solid White Albacore Tuna and Sockeye Salmon, to our specially prepared briskets of beef and our very own special blend of coffee, we serve the very best products we can find. To this end we are constantly searching for new and better products. And freshness is key. Breads, pastries and produce are delivered daily, meat twice weekly and groceries weekly. Prepared food will not be kept for more than 36 hours and is discarded if not sold within this time frame.
In a crowded market place, we aim to provide a very special level of service for each of our guests. We consider satisfying a guest’s needs to be a service failure. Much more than need satisfaction is required, and as such, we work to develop personal relationships with each of our guests and provide a personal level of service that is both remarkable and memorable. By paying attention to every small detail we demonstrate to guests that we truly care about them. This level of service has had remarkable results generating average guest frequency of 4.5 times per week. But more importantly, over half of our business comes from regular guests who frequent DRUXY’S an average of 4 times per day. Our research has found that there truly is a direct relationship between sales growth, customer loyalty and service.
DRUXY’S vision for the future sees growth in our current markets of 10 - 12 new locations per year. Beyond this we are looking to spread to new markets. However, as in the past, we feel that conservative growth will strengthen our brand. A new market opened every 3 – 5 years will allow us the growth to energize the company and tantalize new customers. We are confident that our commitment to a fresh, healthy menu perfectly positions DRUXY’S to take advantage of the growing and real concern for health conscious eating. With an aging population, the concerns over what we ingest has become of paramount importance. While the major fast food companies have begun to incorporate fresh salads and sandwiches into their menus, our 33 years of experience has given us a foothold in the market with our extensive and ever expanding menu.
Message from the Vice-President, Marketing - Peter Druxerman
Our marketing has become an important element of our success today. DRUXY’S has succeeded where many have failed, by understanding the importance of marketing. We focus our marketing in two areas.
We recognize that the front line is where battles are won and lost. It is the staff, and franchisees who motivate these staff, who generate the true results at DRUXY’S. Franchisees who are driven for success, who love interacting with customers and who take pride in knowing that what they prepare for customers is not only important but appreciated, are the main element of our marketing program. We have found that customer driven franchisees can achieve a minimum 20% greater growth than an average franchisee and 40% greater growth than a franchisee who unfortunately finds him or herself in the wrong business.
Our advertising supports our front line by speaking out to potential customers about our philosophies, our goals and our desires in serving our customers. On the radio, I speak of why we do what we do and what customers can expect from us. I extol the virtues of our staff and franchisees, of our product and our systems. I build on the effort that each employee puts into serving our customers.
DRUXY’S goal is to give our franchisees the training and tools they need to grow within our customer driven organization. We are committed to being remarkable in the food and service we provide. When we are remarkable, we stand out from the competition as going that much further for our customers. Cusromers notice and appreciate being carde for. Our slogan, “Be Good Today”, is indeed our objective. By offering our franchisees constant encouragement with a positive outlook, ongoing support and training, and proven marketing programs, DRUXY’S demonstrates our high level of integrity.
