Description:
Responsible for sales, costs and smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant. Functioning primarily as a working member of the Management team, the Restaurant Manager directs the work assignments of management and staff and ensures an efficient flow and prompt, friendly customer service.
The Restaurant Manager will:
- Work with restaurant staff to maintain high standards in the area of customer service, store presentation, product display, product availability, and safety.
- Interview, hire, orient and train all new store employees, to maintain high standards of service, work performance, appearance, punctuality and attitude. Terminate employees where necessary.
- Conduct regular meetings with Management and counter staff where corporate memorandums on policies and procedures are presented and clarified, store results against targets and standards are discussed, and ideas and concerns of management and counter staff are brought up.
- Work with the staff and management to ensure that targets and company standards are understood and achieved in the areas of sales, food and labour costs, employee turnover, cash variances, and repair and maintenance costs.
- Utilize company control procedures (e.g. variance analysis and sales mix) and plan and initiate actions as required.
- Ensure a high level of concern for company security and cash handling policies and ensure that all procedures are strictly adhered to.
- Review and verify all reports and required paperwork for accuracy and completion. Ensure timely submission of reports and required paperwork to the DRUXY'S corporate offices.
- Ensure that work assignments are distributed in a manner that is fair and appropriate for optimum operation of the restaurant. Authorize staff scheduling and vacations.
- Verify all time cards and maintain full and detailed employee records.
- Interact with guests to ensure that the patrons are fully satisfied and to enhance customer relations.
- Handle and resolve all customer complaints in a tactful, friendly and positive manner.
- Handle all situations of any emergency nature (e.g. unlocked premises, security calls).
- Ensure that the restaurant is fully stocked with product to handle regular daily sales and rush period sales.
- Complete and file all opening, afternoon and closing checklists on a daily basis - and sign off on each.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned or requested by DRUXY'S Senior Management.
